Having just suffered through a pair of fake ESW9's from an Audio-Technica authorized internet reseller, these are way too good to be true, let alone the fact that the guy is selling 10 of them for that price. I'd be very wary of something like this.

I've seen most of ESW9's are fake, I would never buy these headphones, just because they are usually fake, so are a few other Audio Technica's

You know the saying....If it seems to good to be true...

its crazy a company would actually make a replica of a headphone

the guy has 100% feedback and will probably honor his return policy. IMO, its worth a shot for the $5 return shipping

I would recommend asking him why he is selling them so cheap, even send him links of actual prices listed by some online stores.

Yes, but he/she could lie.

Also contact AT and ask about this seller.

100 percent feedback on ebay is meaningless. Kind of like the top rated seller staus, that is a paid service. Ebay has put themselves before the buyers or sellers, a point driven home all too brashly, when they purchased paypal. Asking AT about the seller isn't much good either, much of the authorized sellers are also being fed fakes. North America has not been good to them. I like At, but they have been overlooked as a hifi outfit in the states, for quite some time. To the OP...I urge you not to be bothered with those esw9's.

i agree with this post. dont feed them. when people see that they are selling (even if you intend to return it if fake) some other shoppers wont know and think its a great deal. they still make money. plus theyll offer a full refund for good feedback probably. dont feed the fire.

imagine being the person duped into buying it off of a new poster here or some other reputable website.

Yes, you would have thought so wouldn't you? But for the unscrupulous, there are plenty of sources: Made in China Buy 'em for $49, flog 'em for $90, easy... the ESW9s on that site are currently 'unavailable', probably because all the scammers on eBay and elsewhere are selling way faster than they can be made.

Edit: if you buy in bulk, then your mark-up jumps to nearly 400%..!!!

Buy from HeadRoom. Period.

I bought my ESW9 from Beach Camera through its Amazon storefront....after reading several say Beach is reliable. No way would I buy from an eBay seller; just my take on it. In retrospect, I probably should have paid a littl emore & bought from HeadRoom as suggested above....peace of mind is worth a little $.
