Jazz recommendations appreciated

I just discovered Victor Wooten, specifically his Palmystery album, and I really like it. Actually, I was aware of him from the Flecktones, but his solo stuff slipped by me.

Can anyone recommend similar musicians/albums? They don't necessarily have to be bass-centered, but if they are, that's o.k., too.

I assume Jaco Pastorius and Stanley Jordan, but which albums?

Stanley Clarke - School Days. Also check him on the Return to Forever catalog.
My fave Vic Wooten is the Vital Tech Tones album, a monstrous album. I mean colossally epic!

Steve Swallow - I don't see him mentioned much, but his bass playing and albums are always tasty.

Thanks for the suggestions. BTW, I meant Stanley Clarke in my original post.

LFF, are those suggestions for similar styles, or jazz recommendations generally?

Have you checked out, "Just Add Water" by him and (I think) Steve Bailey?

Pretty cool stuff. And I think they made, like, two or three CDs together.

How 'bout "Up Front" by a trio led by Dennis Chanbers? The bass player in that band has chops galore. I think he played on a couple of releases by John McLaughlin. Oh, and Matthew Garrison. Check him out, too.

Sorry - I'm a sleep deprived moron. LOL!

Just basic recommendations where the bass playing is great.

Jazz, beautiful, complex and characterized by the ability to get you moving or just sitting in amazement listening to it. Soon I'll have undergone 'Bitches Brew' by Miles Davis.

'Olé' by John Coltrane is fascinating. Good luck...

Thanks for the recommendations, everyone; this should keep me busy for a while.

Side note: I just ordered tickets to see Victor Wooten in October. Only eight months away!

Thanks again.
