I sort of agree but not entirely. But I was about to post something along those lines anyway. Tags are bit over marketted over hyped. But they do hold value (just like Bose :P). I would sell and look around for a good automatic with genuine swiss movement. But they are decent watches nevertheless. Just not worth as much as they sell for IMO.

Recently I saw an Accutron with Valjoux 7750 for sale for like 300 bucks, I can tell you thats a stunning watch, stuff like that also holds value and is a lot more bang for buck IMO. There are several forums out there like Watchgeeks, where you can find some really good deals and information on how to get the most for your money.

Unless you bought the Tag just for name brand and bling factor and not because you were interested in watches as such, in which case, sell it an get a good audio rig.

Yeah if the sole purpose of the watch is bling bling then go with a Tag or Rolex. If on the other hand (no-pun intended) you want a watch that will last and keep time no matter what you put it through I'd suggest a Luminox or Unterwasser, some sort of marine/us army issue.

Unless it's a Royal Oak or a Nautilus watch. They are meant to be handed down from generation to generation.

Well, this IS an audio forum, of course people will tell you to sell the watch - now if you had posted this on a watch forum, people would likely call you insane for buying headphones costing above $20.

Personally, I'd sell the watch and split the funds about 50/50 to different watch and new audio.

A pair of Grado SR60s are around $60. I think most non-audiophile types would be very happy with them. $1500 watches and $2000 headphone setups are for enthusiasts. Personally, if I really enjoyed the watch, I would keep it and save up for the headphones.
