Always good for debate.

Personally there are loads I havent heard, although I am quite partial to Lily Allens album.

Apologies if this has been done already.

2009 was soooooo long ago! j/k

Why am I the only one here who gushed over Tarot Sport? Was it one of those albums the critics loved and everyone else hated? Anyhoo, to me that's a fairly standard list. Toss the usual suspects in. Mix and serve.

The list is a bit different and although the 'usual' selections are there, I think they did try to make a serious effort.

However, it's still another list where Sunset Rubdown is ignored, and it appears that they never reviewed Dragonslayer at all.

I really love NME's lists despite their irrational love of Blur. But some albums might not have enough to belong on the list (Crystal Styls are great, but Alight sounds like 11 variations of 'Departure') and others could have make their top 50 (like Metric or Dan Deacon). Sunset Rubdown is great- saw them recently in Montreal and blew my little mind.

They should have put The XX at Number 1.
