Balanced Compass DAC Outputs

Thread Starter
Hey DIY thread, Noob here

I want to go balanced one day, and I'd rather put the money towards tubes/amp/cable rather than a new DAC I was wondering if it is possible to exchange the DAC outputs on a Audio GD Compass with balanced outputs and work it like that.

The DAC chip is AD1862. According to its data sheet it can be used as balanced, but you have to find the right pins on the chip, and you have to connect an I/V stage to make it usable as a balanced source. You can find one on twistedpearaudio.com or you can build one yourself.

AD1852, not AD1862.
