Don't buy at yodobashi. The ability to listen at yodobashi (granted, it's a noisy place) is the benefit, but you can get it much cheaper off amazon.co.jp . See below.

One of the things I was really looking at was a STAX SRS-005A system, primarily for use at the office. Currently running Y39,000 at Yodobashi and Y32200 at a place near Hachioji. Problem is Hachioji is a trek, though if we head to Mt. Takao I can just drop by. I could probably narrow the gap a little by getting the 5% VAT back. Or I just may have to hit up my Tokyo friend and use her address as a delivery spot

if i was going to japan i would get one of those shiatsu massages. Probably one with a happy ending.







ofcourse one of the latest sony headphone models would be a close second

Especially if you consider the current exchange rate, you'll see that headphones sold here are grossly overpriced, with the exception of Stax.
