New Peter Gabriel album

The new Peter Gabriel album 'Scratch my Back' is available to buy and listen to on We7

Free Music, Listen to Music Free

It is a series of cover versions, all slowed down and to classical arrangements. The opening 'Heroes' the David Bowie track is stunning. I have had major adrenaline rushes listening to this album. Highly recommended.

On first listen the tracks, taken as individual cover songs, do sound a little weak as "covers" but I guess they're not covers as such.. they do work together really well and the orchestral work is great. The album does grow on you listen by listen and sort of makes you want to listen again once you've just finished listening to it, which I guess is a good thing.

I like and have all of the original artists/songs on that album so that's a good thing and a bad thing I suppose.

Overall I like it and it does appear to be a grower, so, give it some time.
