A few bugs fixes (especially with burners). 4.1.1 available here. That didn't take long.

iTunes just prompted me to download the update an hour or so ago, which I did, but I have had no notable problems with iTunes so far, so I don't know if I'm going to bother installing the update.

I installed it... just for the heck of it... It is extremely lame how they couldn't just "patch" the first version that everyone had to download, instead of releasing a whole 20MB file.

yeah... what a way to boast the claim "best app ever for Windows"... geez..

http://classic.winamp.com/

it's 2.2MB

, that's 16.9MB smaller, it's more FRIENDLY to 56K users, and with the MAD Plugin, and support for types of audio compression that actually sound good helps (haven't bothered with AAC or AIFF).

I don't really think winamp and iTunes should be compared to be quite honest...iTunes is a larger program but it also does much more...it all depends on what your wants are.

yup, I used to use winamp myself...but I now prefer the library approach. If you play mp3's using file tree's then there's no disadvantage to using winamp

It's probably a good idea to download the new version, as it fixes the problem that the first version had with dumping all your files in only one of iPod's 19 folders instead of spreading them out. Then you have to download the latest update 2.1 for iPod to spread them out again if you already are using the first version of iTunes.

Winamp's library function has a lot to be desired though....it's not nearly as nice as iTunes

i dont get it. it sorts by artist or by album. the only thing it doesn't sort by is genre. it has genre sorting to be desired. iTunes does smart playlists, thats cool.

so winamp has genre and smart playlists to be desired.
