If you are getting a clear radio signal on you mp3 player, what sort of sound quality is that?

For the Zune that has the HD is high definition radio a huge upgrade in sound, or does it still depend on how a DAP handles sound.

Lately I have begun to listen to my FUZE radio a lot and I wondered if you could enlighten me.

Thanks

Is there no information on radio quality signal and what that means? I hear of how great FLAC is etc on an mp3 player, is there no SQ discenment regarding radio? Or HD radio?

How do you know the quality of the source they use for the signal?

It's generally medium to low quality. And yea FLAC is a great lossless format. I use it along with 320kbs mp3 rips.

My Sony S639's FM tuner gets less than cd quality radio, as the stations signal is the way it is - crappy. It might be transmitted in cd quality, but it doesn't get to me that way. And, HD Radio (ala Zune HD) isn't that much better sounding (IMO, YMMV - I owned a Z:HD for about a week, then it went back).
