How do the h3xxx series compare to the h1xxx series? Sorry, I really don't know much about these players (other than someone I know has a h3 something)

Well i am very happy now with my H340,and after the mod i should be even happier,and when it will be possible i will grab a H120 becouse only 19 mm slimm compared with my H340 wich is 25 mm.Anyway both must have great sound quality.I belive more people here like H1xxx series becouse of the optical out when they pair it with a Amp.

I bought mine about two years ago, after I heard several good opinions on it's SQ. Mine was a little bit modded [some resistor was added on headphone out in order to eliminate hiss], what made it extremely quiet, so I need to listen from line out [I will remove resistor next weekend]. It is now rockboxed and CF modded, but what I noticed is that I get distortions on bass [I'm sure it's not phones fault, because I checked it on every ones I own]. I cannot check if that appears on original firmware as well, while it doesn't work on CF. Any suggestions about crappy bass in my H300? [I already checked every sound setting on rockbox, set them to default and still getting that annoying effect].

I've just finnised my H320 CF mod.I put a new 2200 Mha battery and i can tell you that this is great.I have forgot to listen to my S9 since i have done this.
ROCKBOX ALL THE WAY!!!
