Dave Holland site

Some of you might be interested in the new version of Dave Holland's site at Dave Holland The bad news is that its design is horrific and there's not much in the way of information there yet; the good news is that his new album is available for streaming free, in 320kbps mp3 for a dollar (for one week), and in lossless formats for three dollars (for ever, as far as I can tell).

The album is a bit of a bugger to download - you have to download the mp3 version along with the lossless one, in one big file. I made the mistake of taking ALAC, FLAC and mp3, which amounted to something over 700 megabytes. It's well worth it though - Secret Garden and Claressence are fantastic.

Both the MP3 and lossless versions are on sale for $3.00 USD until 2/15. I haven't heard a lot of Dave Holland's work (just have Conference of the Birds), but I picked up the FLAC version just to support the fact that they're offering up lossless (and for such a reasonable price).

I've written this in another thread, but nearly every time I've caught Dave Holland live I've walked away thinking he's the greatest bassist on the planet. I know it's complete hyperbole, but it's what I always think.

A bump for his new album being out today, in a range of packages of downloads, CD and fanciness of packaging. I haven´t managed to order yet (gremlins in their shop, or at my end), but the streamed version is good.
