Hey guys, will make this short.

I just recently bought myself some Denon 5000's and a mini3 amp. Now I need a interconnect...But Im kinda stuck...it seems I can get this guy for 65cents!
HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more!

Now on the other hand I can get this guy for 51 dollars.
Cardas 2M Mini to Mini cable | HeadRoom Audio

I dont actually need a full 6 foot and am considering the 3 foot version to that cord...But...is it really worth it for what I have? Will I notice anything worth the 50x+ price tag?

Thanks in advance fellas

DIY is your friiend, you can get the parts they use, make your own cable for a lot less than the price tag you saw.

I normally appreciate the niche that Monoprice fits, but I have not had good luck with their budget line of mini to mini's. The plugs fit very loosely in some of my jacks and I can lose the signal. Their premium line is over the top thick and stiff, but the connectors are much better and the price is only a couple bucks more.

I had a Cardas mini to mini for a while that didn't really impress me all that much. But I have found other materials that have given me great pleasure to work with and enjoy (I make my own cables now, see sig). For $50 you probably can't get 2 meters of anything too exotic, though (a nice Mogami cable, however can be made for fair bit less than $50). BTW, do you really need 2 meters with a portable amp? Most people just stack their mp3 player on top of their amp and use a short cable to connect the two. If you needed a short cable, then a whole world of fun possibilities open up.

You should search a bit through the forums around this subject, as their is an ongoing holy war about whether or not cables matter. Only you can really decide, though.

I have a very positive experience with Monoprice's retractable mini-to-minis.
You'd be suprised of this little gem:
3.5mm Stereo Plug/Plug M/M Retractable Cable (Black)

When my pico comes back from repair, I'm going to use one of these with my IPOD and female LOD. xD

X2 - I have a lot of monoprice cables, analog and digital and of varying forms, mini/rca/optical/coax and the really low end ones can be a bit poor, I have had a few that just do not work, the premium ones $5 - $7 however are a much better bet.

If it's not at least .9 to the 10th power pure and cryogenically-treated in a crystallized isolation chamber at zero gravity, it just won't be worth it. And it must have plutonium-coated connectors, and cost over $150 per inch.

I disagree, plutonium coated connectors tend to make the music too hot...

If you do have 1st-hand/ reliable 2nd-hand experience with such components, please write a detailed comparison review on the sonic effect of various alloy/insulation combination.

On a portable system, especially on the go....i do not believe you can hear a difference with a 6" cable. Just buy a well-constructed cable. I use radioshack grey $5 mini to mini cable. Works fine.
I leave my expensive cables home now. Buy some 4 wire mic cable and 2 connectors and make your own. Itll be fine.

I've heard that depleted uranium is better. Da bomb, you might say. Some have claimed that the sound is bit heavy. YMMV.

Make a multi-wire cable system...

For Heavy Bass...Use lead wire
For airy light highs- use thin aluminum wire and micro-drill holes in it for airyness
For smooth mids- use highly SMOOTH polished copper

Then braid these so the sound blends nice.
