with a USB DAC of course.

otherwise they sound worse than a mobile phone...lot of noise of out default headphone jack.

I have an Asus 904ha netbook and the sound from it's audio out is quite a bit better than my iPod touch or my iPhone.

Huh...I think the HP outs of my iPhone 3G S and 6th Gen (Sept. '09) iPod Classic sound better than the HP out of my early 2007 (pre-Santa Rosa) Macbook Pro (2.16GHz C2D)
