Diablo 2 Ironman, Anyone?

I've been toying around the idea of playing Diablo 2 with a consistent group of people (or friends, but none of them wants to get back to it because it was "too old").

Hardcore, Ironman-style.

A party of eight, hacking and slashing from Rogue Encampment all the way to Worldstone Chamber. Members of this party shall agree to a few rules to make the game a tad bit challenging.

1) Game shall not start unless all eight members are present at the same time. Members are not allowed to play with their ironman characters outside of this party.

2) All interactions with NPC are strictly forbidden unless they are quest related. Purchase of anything from NPC are prohibited, with the exception of Tomes.

Everything from potions to weapons and armouries are to be scavenged. Your sword broke? Too bad, pick up a new one.

Anyone up for this challenge? It'll be fun, I promise!

Count me in. I am a big D2 fanatic having played on/off for many years. I suppose we should also list our available times...

EST - between 11:30am and 7pm on most days. Sometimes earlier sometimes later

a funner challenge would be to get thru hell mode using no gear at all.

that always sparks laughter like no tomorrow

(gotta choose your classes wisely tho!)

Not everybody owns a laptop.

Anyhow, I was thinking of banning every summoning and projectile/AOE skills. Let's see a necromancer whacks his way to Act 5 with just curses alone.

Oh, I've seen a video where a group of eight did uber Tristram naked. That, is amazing.

Some revisions, and I'd seriously consider joining...different time zones may be an issue, though.

Not that much, actually. I slowed down after the introduction of synergies in patch 1.10.

I remember building a sorceress that does 100k melee damage. And a ton of weird builds...
