Which ones - UE MetroFi 220, CX300 or CX500?

So I got a choice between the three of these headphones, all of them are around the same price (<3 play.co.uk) since UE are £18 while CX300 and CX500 are £15.
Will be used with iPod Classic 80GB (2007 if I recall correctly) and my main music style is Trance (99% of my music is) so Bass is something I would love to have. Also, I need them to stay in my ear and not fall out every few minutes.

Noise cancelling or rest of that rubbish isn't relevant to me.

So please, decide for me.
Also, feel free to suggest anything for under £20.
And please, don't be telling me to save up and get better earphones

Thanks

As far as I know (and heard) the sennheisers are for bass lovers. The cx500 does have in line volume control, don't know if you might use that. Never heard the UE myself, so can't help you with that (heard they are good, but the bass isn't as 'good' as the sennheiser's). Normally I would suggest the PL30's but if you want bass.. I think you should go for the cx500...

Of all of those three that you mentioned I have only owned the CX300. They were my second iem's and they were before I got into the head-fi world. I liked them when I had them but keep in mind that before that I only had stock buds and the Sony MDREX71 which is another low cost iem that is geared towards bass.

The CX300 has bass..lots and lots of it and also not the best quality but what do you expect for a price like that. Many times the bass overpowered the rest of the spectrum so the bass is very overpowering. Also there were some things I did not like about them. The J cord is not something I'm a fan of and also they were extremely microphonic. Typically with a Y cord you can put them over the ears but with a J cord that is not possible. They are by far the worse I've ever had in terms of microphonics. Lastly, the stock tips while comfortable fell out many times and could easily be lost. They fell out of my ears a lot so if you were get them I would suggest you invest in some other tips or get a bunch of spare tips. My guess is that sony hybrids would fit on them. Isolation was ok but the microphonics killed the isolation for me. IMO what good is isolation when the microphonics are worse.

The Senn CX500s are decent phones if you have EQ to tame the midbass. Middling performance. I think the Denon C551 has a more balanced sound at that price..

My question is more... Are these genuine? For that price... The CX500 cost €60 and the UE €50 over here in the Netherlands. (and yes I know we are not cheap with these, but it's a big difference)

I'll go for the cx300's. They deliver powerful stereo sound with excellent bass response, greater clarity and improved dynamics.

Damn, just bought a pair of UE 220 at £30 from advancedmp3 using a money off voucher I had to lower the price slightly.
Haven't had a chance to listen to them as they only came today but I hope they're better than cx300s as I was going to give them away to someone to replace a pair of cx300 they're using.

The CX300's sound really muddy to me, although the bass is decent enough. I'd avoid them.

I rather like the UE MetroFi 220, especially at that price.

Those ****tin' bricks about the price - I would get all 3 of these from play.co.uk as all 3 headphones are on sale.

Also, big thanks to everyone for your contribution.

Oops, missed my math there. In the US both the C551 and the CX500 sell at around 30 GBP.
