Portable amp for Sennheiser HD 595 and 600

HI everyone! New to the boards. I will have to admit that I know next to nothing about audio equipment but I'm apt to learn

I'm being gifted a Sennheiser HD600 (good friend who works for them) and a HD595. I know that these headsets will need an amp to really get the most out of them. What can you recommend that won't break the bank for portability?

For both of your HP's: Firestone Audio - Fireye II. The Fireye II also functions as a USB to S/PDIF converter to get optical digital signal to any external digital device. (But for travelling is the HD 238 Precision the better headphone - practical, compact and handy!)

Awesome. I have been looking at that one actually.

Now what about a tube amp for home listening? Likely to sit on my desk by the computer, but I may attach it to a big big receiver one day with all my stereo stuff etc.

So now what about a DAC? I don't really even know what DAC's do lol...so the amp powers the headphones, and the DAC inhances the music output? So something like your iPod etc would go into the Dac, and that connects to the amp?

Ahh ok I see what you linked was for computer output of sound only right? I'm looking for 2 amps:

1. Portable, (rechargeable could be nice, but battery is ok too) for when I travel likely with the 595s.
2. Stationary, I'd like to use this one primarily at home with the HD600s. Would be cool if it was a tube amp. Had looked at the Little Country III as it looks like I could hook up an iPod to be routed through this and then into a home theater 5.1/7.1 receiver later on if I chose to.

Tube Headphone Amp - Little Country III Tube Headphone Amplifier / Pre Amp - Tube Preamp - 6922 tube preamp

Before you continue with your funny questions take some time to read this!

K read it I know what a DAC is, but I think I was getting confused as a friend's father was telling me about a DEAC, which is different? It takes MP3s or digital recordings and makes them sound "warmer" like vinyl of old if I'm remembering what he told me correctly.

Basically I'm looking for a nice amp that I can use with both those headphone models, and via a PC as well. I'm guessing if I have a big receiver in a home audio system that has headphone jacks out no need for an amp there as it's probably already powered right?

What is your price range for the portable amp, desk amp, and DAC?

Portable I'm looking to spend maybe 150-200.

Desk about 300-400.

I just want music I listen to through both Sennheiser cans to sound great.

Perhaps the iBasso D2+ or P3+ for portable, or the Little Dot Mk I +.
For a desk amp used Gilmore Lite, Headroom Micro Amp. LD Mk IV or LD Mk IV SE.
WA3 with a slightly stretched budget.
