I've enjoyed owning these and will regret selling these more than any headphone I've ever owned or ever will own. However I now feel it's time to let them go to a more luxurious home than mine.
These are the 'bass heavy' version, serial number 1128, production year 2003.
They are one of the best headphones I've ever heard and probably the best closed headphone in existence. I have owned Sennheiser HE90 (+ Aristaeus), Sony Qualia MDR-010, Stax Omega 2 Mk.1, AKG K1000, ATH-L3000, Denon D5000, AKG 701, AKG 271, Grados etc. I would say these are extremely good at getting you into a recording but more importantly, help you enjoy it without having to worry about relative bass/treble levels, detail, prat, though it does all these things very well. They're also quite easy to amp as I have tried these on a Yamamoto HA-02 and thought they sounded brilliant, before trying a SP Extreme and a SP Supra - with improvements each time.
You can see from the photos that they're in extremely good condition. 8/10 on the Audiogon scale.
