Headphones have become more mainstream I guess. Portable media players and computer based media players have become more popular, and with those headphones have been and are the most obvious way listening to one.

Yeah man - what a different world! Back in 2003 there was a very moderate amount of headphone gear out there, and I was intensely interested in all of it!

Today there is an insane amount of new headphone gear - especially budget amps & portables - and I am not interested in owning/hearing any of it
Still fun to poke my head in and look at posts/pictures once and again...

A small amount of money will get you along way with a lot of choice now. That's what happened.

Nice 1000th post, skip! Good to "see" you.

You should come out to the Spring Meet in Bayside on March 13th.

I got into headphones with the koss esp-950, hd580, and the grado sr80s back in 1994 when they were the ones being recommended by stereophile and most other stuff wasnt that good. 16 years later... I am still listening to headphones and still enjoy the hd580s over the other cans Ive had. Just goes to show that all these other models dont really matter that much
