I am selling my 3 month old Buffalo DAC to fund the build of the modular version.
This has been built using 3 Twisted Pear Placid shunt regulated power supplies which make a noticable difference to the standard PS. VD and dual mono VA.
It cost me £600 all in with case, connectors, import duty, VAT etc. Looking for £475
It sounds superb, it replaced my Linn Ikemi for a new PC / Lynx based source and the combo easily beats the CD player which is saying something!
Has balanced outs but can fit RCA's if required, also has connectors for XLR AES, BNC SPDIF and TOSLINK. You have to manualy connect the input of your choice which takes 5 min.
Its housed in a 1 U full widht case with 10mm brushed ali front and 3mm anodised vented top panel. Front LED's for lock and auto mute. Shielded IEC input with switch and panel mount fuse.
