My LARGE poster of Rock Chronology, free to download:-)

Here it is: http://hotfile.com/dl/27741671/9edfa..._rock.jpg.html

My pick of 100 albums which define rock in exact chronology.

Limit 2 albums per artist, except for the Beatles which I allotted 3 (sue me)

P.S......it's just rock, no metal, no folk, no pop, no blues, no r&b, no rap, no Soul, etc:-)

Enjoy!!!!!

If there's enough buzz, I'll probably post a list of the 100 albums included.

Interesting factoid:

Pet Sounds & Blonde On Blonde were released on the same day May 16th 1966

Oh, and I know Pet Sounds is not rock, but it's too important to the genre to leave out:-)

Just host it on mediafire. It's not like it matters if it's viewed directly as a picture or downloaded as a file if it's that size. Or, do you actually want to put it directly on a webpage?

Upload to any online hosting service. Example:
Hotfile.com: One click file hosting
Deposit Files

Then link us to it when done.

80 mb for a picture? Holy crap, could you describe the pic?

That makes for a neat presentation.

A quick count shows I own 37 of the 100. There are some covers there that I don't recognize and can't name. My knowledge of all things rock is limited.

What size (resolution) do you normally get and keep for album art? The images in the poser are at 864x864 which is kinda large for normal album art. I tend to stay around the 600x600 size for my cover images.

Most of those are hand scanned and I made them 6 inch by 6 inch:-)

But for my own personal collection I do 600 by 600 or 800 by 800 pix

I just wanted to say your poster is absolutely supreb - I plan to print it at 300dpi and have it framed.

Could you please post the the list of albums included or email it to me? Thanks!

That's some serious dedication. It takes a lot of time to scan and edit ~100 cover art images at that resolution.
