2 questions if you don't mind:

1. in headphones with a single-side entry (K701 and etc), how is the shield connected?

2. same question as above but for headphones like Hd600 and etc.

Your 2 options are
1) Do not attach it at all.
2) Attach at the terminal side only.

This applies to both of your scenarios.
