I'm planning to buy the Little Dot MK III for my DT880 250 Ohm. To bad I'll have to wait two weeks because of Chinese New Year.

To be quite honest...

I've never been able to tell the difference between AC or DC coupled inputs...

I've done tonnes and tonnes of AB tests, and have never been able to tell the difference.

Common sense though would tell me that since the audio is NOT going through a pair of coupling capacitors.... the sound MUST be better as it is not being phase shifted and rolled off by the capacitors and not only that, if the capacitors are NOT matched then the phase shift and roll off WOULD be different between both channels.....

But again, I can't tell the difference...

I just know that there must be...

It is ALWAYS a purer signal without any capacitors in the audio pathway...

BUT capacitors CAN be used to soften and warm a sound and sometimes that is a good thing...
