The answer is no, at least in the near future and with current headphone driver technology.

Stereo sound have width, depth, height, its like a panoramic view but with sound waves. A very high quality set of speakers with decent source and amp in an acoustically treated room creates that panoramic experience of sound and makes one feel in front row of a live performance.

Unfortunately its imposable to create such an experience with headphones, because they're not the natural way human ears listen to sound... Headphones will always have that limitation.

Impossible. There's no such thing as a perfect pair of earphones anyway.

Probably no new major models for several years, at least. The economy is not good and people are not buying like they used to.

There was a wide range of luxury good available in the Roaring '20s, but they all died off. A lot of the niche products will be out of production in a few years. Jobs are not being created and the price of real estate is being kept artificially high.

Further into the future, there's always the Singularity.
