DacMagic and iTunes: Upsampling

Thread Starter
Contrary to my previous post, I'm now thinking of getting a CA DacMagic, just a quick question; should I allow iTunes to resample or leave my MIDI settings at 16/44.1 and allow the DM to upsample?

Thanks.

As easy as it is to set up I suggest you give both ways a try, then make up your own mind.
Core Audio is said to have a pretty good resampler, but if it does a better job than the DacMagic I do not know.

I read on another thread yesterday that the consensus seems to be that Apple's Audio MIDI Setup program (OSX>Utilities) does an admirably clean job up-sampling. I've never doubted it, and it has a cool dock icon to boot. But try it both ways with a critical ear
