YouTube - Man Makes Chocolate Records

I am sure there is no buyer's remorse when buying that.

he got a patent for tempering chocolate and pouring it into a mold?

we've been doing that for over 100 years!

That was an odd little clip.

Tasty though.

Ya but the B sides suck!

Wow, it sounds good too. I bet if I dip my vinyls and cables in chocolate, the midrange will be sweeter and rich, with some creaminess.

the trick is to dip them in milk chocolate. white chocolate is too bright, and dark chocolate is too... dark

At first I tried to make records out of ice cream, beer, cola, sausages, cheese, and even butter...
Most of those I can sort of see, but sausages?!?

Sweet!

Reminds me of this record label company...

alot of metal bands are all about limited vinyl only releases...

this would be the ultimate limited release format... most likely wears out considerably quicker than vinyl, risk of melting, much more fragile, edible...

i think the patent is alot more specific than that... probably goes into the specific process and chocolate recipe for creating a playable record

thing is, there probably is no recipe. the only way to temper chocolate into a hard, snappy texture is to use 100% pure chocolate. any additives will prevent the crystals from forming, making it impossible to avoid ending up with a soft mass

we do this all the time when making chocolate showpieces, as well as simple filled candies.
