Hey folks,

Seems like I've had my fair share of IEM's and now I find my self at crossroads once again.

From 2 x Etymotic ER6i's that eventually failed due to a faulty cable, to Ultimate Ear Super Fi 5 Pro's that lasted 15 months (cable replaced a few times) then the housing cracked. Logitech issues a replacement but sent Super Fi 5's stating that the SF5 Pro's were out of stock

. Four months with the SF5's and the left ear piece now cuts in and out due to a damaged cable connector.

The pattern here seems that I'm quite rough with my cables ( I only just watched the youtube video on how to tie headphone cables) and now I'm not quite sure what to choose next. I'd love to go for the Triple Fi 5vi although I have a bitter taste in my mouth after my Logitech customer support experience.

Can someone help me out, I think the key requirement apart from good sound is a replacement cable. Are the TF5 casing any stronger than the SF5P?

Thank you all!

Different sound signatures, but just to give you an idea of some models with detachable cables:

Shure SE420, SE530 (well, the newer versions out later this year)
Panasonic HJE900
Sleek Audio SA6
