Looks like I'll have to demo it myself. I find that they like power, but I doubt I'll any spend more if I find the Fiios don't give an improvement over the Fuze's headphone out.

Sorry for haven't finished reading through the entire thread yet, but could someone tell me if the the Copper is significantly better than my current basic Turbine to justify the purchase? Many thanks. They're a bit tempting on Amazon for $220 normal_smile%20.gif

just got the coppers for 128 from the black friday/cyber monday sale. They sound very neutral and the isolation is amazing. They'll be replacing my HD25's as a portable from now on. Does anyone know where to find the serial number?

Got them yesterday, been listening non stop since...and I think I've found my audio nirvana biggrin.gif

It's on the Y-split. I wouldn't call them neutral, but they do straddle a line between "balance" and "fun" IMO. If you want to increase the isolation even more try to get ahold of some of those foam-stuffed Sony Hyrbids.

Hey, they happened to be one of the few IEMs to make it into the Head-Fi Holiday Buyer's Guide!

I actually just got the HD 25, and found them a lot more neutral than the Coppers. I found the coopers to have very weak highs compared to the HD 25

I actually prefer the highs of the copper to the HD25's, the mids are the weak point for the coppers IMO

Try burning in the HD25's, they are not neutral by any means for me.

I find the Coppers more revealing than HD25-1, and I too prefer the Coppers' treble over HD25-1's.

Rather than acquiring foam-stuffed eartips, I stuck some Akasa paxmate that I have leftover from modifying my T50RP in the tips.  Better isolation and fit, but with the stock silicon tips, I mean.  Better balance than with the Sony Hybrids that I was using before.  Next I will add a few coats of plasti-dip to the backs of the bores to stiffen them some more for even better sound, but I keep procrastinating.  =p

so much for good build quality, strain relief broke after a week T.T

yeah, how they did the strain relief doesn't leave me very confident, but thats where the lifetime warranty kicks in, i got mine from that crazy visions.ca deal so i cant complain, if anything happens to mine, im more than pleased to kno it will be taken care of, im not going to baby these thats for sure

I was a retard and bought mine second hand, d'oh!  No warranty for me.

I used a bit of superglue on my earphones' strain reliefs and they have yet to break again.

Bumping for the new owners of these from Futureshop's boxing day sale :)

Well this is my second time owning the MTPC's and I wasn't too impressed the first time around but the futureshop sale piqued my interest. I managed to get them before they were sold out online even after I waited about 40 minutes in the queue. Got them yesterday and I noticed that the supertips are now different. I have the sampler pack that I bought a while ago for other iems and the supertips that came with my MTPC's are shaped differently. It worked out in my favour because I remember with my first pair, I had a hell of a time getting a good fit with any of the supertips, and now I get a great fit with one pair of the foam tips. So far, I'm impressed with them but I will need some more time for burn in and listening. When I had the gold's I had to get them replaced by monster because one side got very quiet but I remember the replacement set sounded different than the original set. Hopefully, I won't have any issues with the coppers in the future but the lifetime warranty does ease my concerns. For $95, they are well worth it.

AH you actually got them on that sale!!!! What a missed opportunity it was for the rest of us! The worst thing is, it says on the site they will restock on the 9th and right beside it says sale ends on the 5th :( I envy thee, sir.
