Give them a good 100 hours and they should be fully burned-in. I gave mine a few days and the veil had been lifted, the bass and mids smoothed out, and it was great every second after that!etysmile.gif

Good Luck!

Got my pair yesterday. Was able to get it for $150 "like-new" off Amazon, with all the tips, pouches, manuals, and box.

Trying on all the tips so far, will start looking through this thread in a few minutes to see if there are companies that offer custom-molds for these, would love to have a proper seal.

$150 is a steal if they're not fakes!

I was ready to get rid of mine because I hated all the tips. But I took a gamble and got a set of custom sleeves from 1964 Ears. They are awesome! I'll try to post a proper review with pics soon....

I'm about to buy these off Amazon for a similar cost, and I'm curious, how would I tell if they are fakes once I receive them?

Fakes are so widespread and so well done one should never buy unless directly from a dealer listed as authorized on the Monster site. The only way I'd buy used is from a respected head-fier with a receipt

I hope so. They seem to already have improved a bit, but the mids are definitely warmer than I remember and the bass is bigger too. It's almost like someone messed up at the factory and put the Golds' driver in them lol. They have gotten a bit better though, so I'll keep at it.

So I finally got a good seal with the smaller flange tips, they sound great. I just went through some pics of the fake vs real link posted and while I didn't have the box on me to look at, these pass every test so far, even the measurements haha. I think I do have a real pair...they were advertised for $190ish...Like-New, stalked them on amazon for close to 2 weeks before I emailed the seller and asked if they could go any lower

I never used any IEMs so it is weird having something foreign in the ear. Took a while to get a proper fit with the small flange tips but I did, and I love it so far.

While I haven't spent any real time using these, just mainly the walks to school/work, it cuts out outside noise SO much, I'm able to play a lower volume, which I wanted. The whole reason I got an IEM was to play music at lower levels due to the isolation and I'm happy so far!

Does anyone know how the isolation compares to GR8 or GR10? I am trying to choose between them

I received my Coppers today and I have been listening to them all day. All in all, I am very impressed so far. I am having a tough time deciding between the single flange gel tips and the triple flange tips. The triple flange tips provide the most bass, however it feels kind of boomy. So I am not sure if this is how it supposed to sound pre-breakin or if the single flange gel tips is the right sound (very even, good bass). Any thoughts?

I always thought the foam Supertips sounded the best with the MTPC when it worked.

These things are really making me see the flaws in my SR-80i!
