. sorry OP, we're laughing with you. we don't learn this stuff overnight. SMD soldering takes practice. if you haven't already, check this tutorial out: Curious Inventor - Guides : Surface Mount Soldering

Uhm... don't solder opamps, solder sockets.
He's talking about SMD opamps (like the Mini3 uses). I'm not aware of sockets for those.
I figured they would the DIP package opamps as he mentioned M^3, not Mini^3.

You sir are correct. I've been doing too much tinkering with the Mini3 / Carrie lately. Just got my proto board in the mail!

So yeah, as FallenAngel said, use sockets. They're awesome.

It just takes time. Good solder helps also.
After -well, long enough it gets to be a reflex.

You just need to solder as many things as possible.....

Conductive epoxy glue to glue them down?
The main problem I had with smt was not being able to see. A microscope helps with that tremendously. The second problem was holding stuff in place and a vaccuum pickup pen or locking tweezers helps with that.

I was looking for solder paste in a local store and it was their suggestion to me. It just might work, but you'd never get the part off.
