Help with iMod Nano (is it possible?)

I am looking to do an imod to a Nano but I thought only 4g, 5g and 5.5g could be modded as those only have the wolfson chips that make it worth it. I have done a search on google and couldn't come up with anything really, as well as searching here on head-fi. Could someone please clarify this with me as I am looking for a cheap alternative to an imod 5g or 5.5g. If someone could post/pm me links to how I can do this specifically for nano's that are compatible (if it is) that would be amazing.

The iMod is only available for the 4G, 5G and 5.5G iPod. Not for the iPod nano, iPod Classic, or like.
