Just watched part of it. It was pretty cool. They were making the 702's. No surprises other than really noticing you pay big for Research and Development.

Thanks for the link, Cankin!

Would have been cool if they branched off from dynamic to electrostatic, ortho, etc.

Oh, I guess normally I think all headphones are made immaculately by machines, but the video shows the human touch to it. That's just kind of my before/after perceptions. I didn't see anything wrong in the video though... other than none of them had my name on em

Nice video.
Cankin. Thanks for sharing the link.

Great to finish the video by putting the headphones the wrong way round on the glass head.

Good wee vid though. I'd have expected slightly more automation than there was.

Imagine the newbie working there one day. What about someone that had a fight with their significant other/etc. Human error can creep in, but I agree that in the video you see none of it.

Funny how they conclude the video with "the headphones will be silent to all but one". It's an open can.

Wow, they're almost totally hand made. Impressive stuff!

edit: Or rather put together by hand.

Very cool video.

I wish I could ask AKG for one of those tools they use to rotate the exterior chrome grill.

I found it a bit disappointing that they didn't show production of the cable as well :P
