First off, I am only offering kits to those outside of North America. I have a huge load of packages to coordinate, and I am very busy with school work (4th year design project, Engineering, end of semester, etc.). I am doing my best to get the packages out in time. I realize the wait you have to go through, but I'm juggling a lot at the moment. Rest assured I'm doing everything I can to get your boards and parts to you in a reasonable fashion. I can't make several trips to the post office just for people who want theirs rushed, I can't just drop all my responsibilities to get this group buy done, and it takes a while to make sure you have every person's order perfect. I have to cut up the anti-static foam for those who ordered AD8397s, I have to document who already has their PCBs, I have to make 41 envelopes with two addresses (sometimes they're very weird and I'm not 100% on how to copy it on the envelope), and I have to fill out Customs forms for every package going out of the country, which is well over 80% of them. That involves two addresses, exact pricing on goods, multiplied 30-something times. I have a four day weekend during which I plan to finish these packages, but until then, I hope some of you can be patient a little longer. Never mind that this is my first group buy, so please bear with me, folks. I have a hard enough time staying on top of school, let alone making time for Carrie (the person), band practice, preparing for my summer work term, working out and hanging out with friends. You'll get your packages when you get them.

I'm not trying to single anyone out, I just need to be clear about what's going on with the group buy. I'm not mad at anyone, but I would appreciate your continued understanding and patience.

Seems to me like you're doing just fine- I understand what 4th year design is like and I know how much time it can take. Thanks for the effort you're putting into this for all of us.

I think joneeboi deserves a couple of bucks EXTRA for all the time & work he's putting input into this! And before you ask yes I've made my donation!

I've been there, done that. Take as much time as you need. Thank you again for the group buy and I hope you will do another one. Like I said no rush on mine, just take your time. Good luck.

Thanks for the kind words, folks. I really appreciate it. There's no need to send me money. I'm doing it purely for enjoyment at this point. You can pay me in the future though.

I like that Joker picture. It put a smile on my face.

While I fully understand and appreciate what it means to be busy (two jobs, wife in school, two kids, 2 music ensembles with full performance schedules ect) I think it would have been nice to say up front, "This group buy will take ~ 2.5 months to ship and 'You'll get your packages when you get them'." I do not think this would have effected participation, but I can say for certain it would have stemmed of some of the griping. Perhaps I was being unreasonable, but I for one was expecting to receive the boards ~2 weeks after you received them. Another thought would have been to ask for help I would have gladly prepared and stuffed envelopes. Just a thought.

Sorry if this post or some of my previous ones have come of harsh. I truly appreciate of the work you have put into this project. I am chomping at the bit to get the Carrie built. I think the Carrie +Grub/Bantam could really take off as a must build/have Diy project.

I really would have if I had known. I feel really regretful that this process has taken so long. It would have been great if I could have sent everything off as soon as I got them, but I had to wait to make the order for the kits because I was taking orders for the opamps and output jacks, so everything started stalling. Once I had all the orders in, I had to wait for shipping, yada yada yada. I'm really doing this as fast as I can. I will likely work on it tomorrow. I'm eager to get mine built up as well!

No regrets Thanks again for your efforts.

ya we should keep in mind, his offer expanded from boards, to opamps and jacks, to kits for internationals.. so a lot more time and effort than just shipping boards..

I sealed a good chunk of envelopes for folks, but I realized that I am missing a few opamps now. This annoys me. I will maybe try to ship things Saturday. 11 of you will be notified of delayed shipment due to this annoyance. We'll see what Digikey does.

edit: I also have to write a bunch of Customs forms out as well, so I'm not exactly that close just yet. Still really good progress though.
