This is a great sounding dac and a wonderful introduction to the NOS sound. It is very easy to mod and has built in USB, COAX, and Optical Inputs.
It is the older "2.1 Version". Some actually prefer this one, as it's no longer being made and does not have the built in reclocker.
It has the 390 OHM Passive I/V stage, which means it can clip slightly, in some situations. Valab knew this when they built it, but chose to use 390 ohm because they thought it sounded better. If this is a problem for you, I will swap them out with 330 Ohm PRP resistors(which will100% correct the problem) for free. Just let me know.
The inside is in like new condition, see the attached pics for details. I did however drill a few holes in the top of the Chasis to help with cooling, it's not my best work. But is functional.
The only reason Im selling is i've moved on to the Bigger brother of this dac the "Chameleon".
