Hey Ken,

Excited to see that you have these in stock. Can you give us a sense of how the amp/pre-amp sections perform with headphones (and speakers if possible)? They're obviously great products, but there seemed to be some consensus that the amp section didn't quite live up to the excellent DAC on the old Deccos.

Thanks!

You mean to say the old Scott Nixon? Dac was better than the "blessed by John Westlake" sabre DAC?

I was referring to the older Decco. I believe this and the iDecco are second generation.

I have not had much time with it, but right out of the box it sounds killer to me. The headphone out is sweet, love it. I will post some photos later. I have them all in stock if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Ken

I have it in at one end of my work shop (which is now way too small). I have to say I love the iDecco... had a half a day with. At first I was hesitant about having yet another component. Honestly, I own a hi-fi store and we have a lot of stuff demoing and rotating though. I can say with out a doubt that this one is a keeper, in fact now my wife is grumbling about using it into the house, no way Jose!

The cables that come with it are well non existent, so they were / are pretty stingy. I can remedy this situation should anyone want to order any of the Peachtree Audio gear.

Thanks for the info, Ken. Looking forward to the 6moons review. If you ever get the chance, I'd love to hear a comparison between the iDecco and that Stingray, especially if you can isolate the preamp/amp section of the iDecco!

How does the i-decco sound with the Audioengine P4? Any favorite speaker combo?

Ken, have you tried you K1000 out of the iDecco? It would make a great office combo. Yes I am evil.

Ken, if by any chance you start a loaner program I would love to listen to the iDecco.

Hey Arrowmark

I have not brought home the p4s to try them out, but the iDecco sounds ~sIcK~ through the MLs. Can't wait to roll the tube.

Oh dear, good idea. I have to put the notch filters back in my K1000s and try that.

I have the Decco and don't really notice any difference with tube rolling. A few people have commented that in the Nova (which I assume uses the same implementation of the tube circuit) they can't reliably tell when the tube is on or bypassed.
