I live in Downtown Detroit and it gets frigged in the winter. My ipod touch used to freeze regularly. I have not had a single hiccup with my Zune HD so far.

Funny story, I have a touch, and I'm in Waterloo (about 200 km...that way ->) and I have no problems with my touch. Also have a friend with a Zune HD, and he has no issues with it using it in the cold. It is a bit of a pain to pull off a glove to use the screen for both.

Very true! Both of them have very accurate touch response IMHO though.

I'm rather fond of mine but the device does not have physical volume buttons so you're pretty much required to take it out of your pocket to do anything.

The Zune's build feels really solid. I bought one in mid December, and I've been using it daily. So far, no scratches on the screen, and if I just wipe the screen off the fingerprints, it still looks brand new.

So, I'd say it's very good for daily usage.

i've been using mine for a few months now and i have had no problems with it, even though i've dropped it a few times

If your going to get it wait a week or two because they amazon and newegg decreased the price by 30-40 dollars, so i believe that they're going to increase the size soon
Newegg and Amazon cuts the Zune HD price by $30-$40

or I could be totally wrong and you miss a great deal, IDK

^ Actually, they've had these sort of "deals" for months. The prices fluctuate around $180-200 for the 16GB, and $230-260 for the 32GB.

I would also agree that the zune hd is a very rugged device i have used every day since the week of its release and i have had no issues with it. I would definitely recommend for every day public transit as i use it for the same purpose.

Well, depends on your preferences. I have an RE0 myself, and sounds pretty good on the ZHD. The EQs aren't very good, to tell you the truth. Not very many options, and the changes are small changes.

Because itsa flash based device its going to be more durrable and tolerable through the elements than HDD players.

Anybody else think the bass response is weak? With my TF10s the sq sounds great, but i just wish there was a little more low end response from the player.
