is it okay to post cheaper prices of the same product in the sale section?

I noticed that some sales has the selling price close to brand new prices.

Is it okay to post prices (backed up with link(s) to in stock product) on the sale thread?

No. Doing so amounts to a threadcrap. People can post their gear at whatever price they feel is appropriate.

You are free to PM the seller with said information as a negotiating tool, but posting it yourself in someone else's FS thread is not allowed.

For a FOTM, one should be able to get their purchase price. Other items hold their value well because of quantity or quality. Now if you would send a link to a prospective buyer, I'm sure they would appreciate the heads up. One day you might be selling something.

You could post them on your own thread to say you're offering a good deal to potential buyers, but I'm with jpelg on this one, showing lower prices like that is uncool, regardless of the rules.

No, and this sticky thread should tell you why not.
