Great record cleaning machine from Nitty Gritty, recommended by both Stereophile and TAS. I've only filled it with distilled water to be used as the last step of my record cleaning ritual to remove cleaning fluid off the surface of LPs. Unit is in excellent condition, no leaks. With the Nitty Gritty system, the LP never touches a mat and transfer any dirt, cleaning solution residue to other LPs.
Included are the following accessories ($100):
- Acrylic Dust Cover
- VAC-Sweep Replacement Valvet Lips
- Bristle Brush (to clean the valvet lips)
- Capstan replacements (the rubber that turns the LP)
- Comes with original box and manual.
I had lost the original tray that catches the waste fluid. But Nitty Gritty wanted to charge me $20 for a new one. When I asked, the person told me it was just a tupper ware cover. So I found one in my kitchen that fits to use under. It will be included)
I will also include a pair of ear plugs to be used with the machine to protect your ears! I am going to get one of the new RCMs that are much quieter.
I've conservatively rated it 8 out of 10 due to age. I've had it for 8 years. I only used it once every 3 to 4 months when the weather is warm and cleans about 30 to 40 or so each time.
