Want to BORROW an iTouch or current gen iPod

I want to build some LOD's for a couple friends, but I don't own anything Apple. I am looking for a kind, generous person with either a Touch or current gen nano or classic that they would be willing to lend me to test my LOD's on. It would probably be for a couple weeks at max. Or if someone has a spare they are willing to let go for super cheap (or for some custom cables), that would work too.

PM me and we can discuss the details.

Why don't you borrow one from one of the friends you're building these LODs for? Seems kinda obvious.

Already thought of that, Duggeh. Won't work which is why I posted. Both live in different states and use their iphones/ipods daily. In particular, the one with the iphone can't be without it for more than 30 seconds. The other uses his on his daily commute.

Not to mention they don't know I am building them the LOD's. I am trying to get them into this hobby and planned to present them with LOD's and Cmoy's at a gathering a couple months hence.

just get an ipod for yourself, you shouldn't really recommend stuff for friends if you don't use it yourself -if anything that's how stupid trends/myths/FOTM's start.

Thank you for yet another useless suggestion laced with condescending attitude! It is exactly what I was hoping for by starting this thread!

If I wanted one (I don't) I would have one. Just like if I could borrow one from a friend, I would have.

Seriously people, is it that hard to mind your own business if you aren't willing/able to help?

I am trying to do a nice thing for two friends, with all the costs being born by me. Just need a little help to do that. Luckily, another headfier has graciously offered me the help I was looking for and I can let this thread die.

Best Buy has a 30 day return policy that applies to open hardware as well, buy one, you have thirty days off the bat and then return it when you're done.

If it takes more than thirty days, then return your first one and buy a new one.

They'll return your money the way that you purchased, i.e. If you paid cash, you'll get cash back-- credit, then credit back, etc.
