SQ of Ipod Nano

Thread Starter
A female friend of mine recently bought a new Nano (pinkish colour), had a look at it few days ago, not a bad player to be honest (though I still prefer the Fuze due to its SD slot and being expandable) anyhow the Nano was small as well. Thing is I did not have a listen to it, she also uses Senss PX100's on it as well.

I have heard or been told that the new generation Nanos are quite nice sounding and even some have told me they prob sound better than the Ipod classic, not sure if this is true.

They sound a little better. I don't think it's good enough to justify buying the whole iPod if you already have a Touch but if you don't have either and want just the player with the better sound I'd go for the Nano.

Hmm, I have a new Nano, along with a 1st & 4th gen Nano, a couple of Shuffles, a Clip, as well as a NWZ-A816. Personally I'm more than happy with the SQ of my new Nano, in fact it's the player I get the most use out of.

I like the size, the feel and the build quality, and yes it does sound better than my 1st Gen Nano and I also use PX100's from time to time - I can't fault it at all.

But give it 5 minutes and the Apple Bashers will be here and tell you it's a pile of crap and your money is better spent on something else. The funny thing is I doubt most of them would have even listened to a Nano, therefore make dumb comments based on zero knowledge - Just look at the debate on the iPad for prove of that, people have slated that to hell and it's not even on sale yet!

Go and have a listen is all I can say - If it floats your boat, go for it !!

I would have to agree with maporter. About the comment he stated with the mac bashers.... there is some validity to the things that they say... although a lot of it can be passed as simple opinion. There are pros and cons of each player out there and the iPod is just another player; remember that.

There are a lot of players out there that sound better on average but IMO if you're serious about your equipment check out some of the "post your setup" threads and look at some of the serious rigs with iPods as the source. I can gladly say that I'm heading down that road myself

Meh, PM me if you ever have any questions about iPods or other players and I'll help the best I can.
