This is Panasonic full digital amp/reciever. If you put a digital signal into it (optical or coax), the signal is processed purely digitally right up to the speaker output part, resulting in one of the most cleanest and spectacular sounding receivers that will compete directly with the very high end ones.
The headphone output is very nice too. And if you want even purer connection, you can hook up a resistor networked headphone jack to the speaker outputs
