Line level output on mp3 player?

Wondering how easy it would be on something like a sansa clip (disabling/bypassing amp circuit?).

Has anyone done it?

Assuming it can, whats a good portable amp to get started on?
Are there any with 1:1 gain so I can leave the volume knob out?

On ABI you have pics of disassembled Clips. Should be of some help.
