iPod set-up

Hey, guys (: I recently had to send in my P2 'cause of a loose audio jack and they don't sell Samsung mp3 players in Canada anymore, so FutureShop's just gonna send me a gift card. Since FutureShop has very little selection when it comes to mp3 players, I've decided to get an iPod Touch. The thing is that I've heard that the SQ on the Touch isn't very good so I was wondering if there was anything I could do to boost the quality.

I have Klipsch S4's at the moment and I like to listen to some pop, rock, rap, rnb, but I mainly listen to trance and hardstyles. I like a nice and warm sound with plenty of bass, but not so much that it overpowers everything else. I also appreciate smooth mids and highs that are there but not too sibilant.

I was thinking of getting a portable amp, but the ones that I've seen aren't very portable. I'm looking for one that will fit in my pocket and won't look like I have a brick in my pocket.

One last thing :3 I was wondering what case to get. I've narrowed it down to the Speck Candyshell case, the Gear4 Leather Jacket Case, and the Incipio Duroshot Polycarbonate Hard Case.

hmm well first of all which gen ipod are you planning on getting. if its the first gen i would have to say that its not the best but its certainly not that bad.

the newer models have better sq then the first gen but they are all alright; just not as good as other players. a good lod andbportable amp would definitely make the playerbsound better though.
for the portable amp how much are you willing to spend? the ibasso t3 and t4 are very small and are great amps in the 100 price range.
