Head-Fi still is the place to go for wildly varying opinions on everything, it seems. :p

 

I consider the album to be rather good-sounding indeed. Artificial for sure, but good. The next one, Shepherd Moons, is much less dynamic and bores me to death. Sounds like the same recipe for speaker-impaired folks.

I imagine my perception of it being the best sounding is probably due to it being my favourite album of hers.

Amarantine is the worst recorded Enya I have. The distortion is so bad on the tile track it's hard to listen to.

We hear music differently but then we have different rigs as well.
