Enya Fans Rejoice

This is probably old news for real fans of Enya, but a greatest hits CD/DVD set has been released.

Amazon.com: The Very Best Of Enya (CD/DVD): Enya: Music

The DVD has all of Enya's music videos. That alone is significant, as Enya released a music video DVD that sold out immediately and commands upwards of $250 for a used copy.

Have all her albums. See no point paying 25$ for the DVD alone. Enough with greatest hits already! Isnt this like the 3rd or 4th one?

Yeah, I didn't care about the Best Of CD, just the videos. I have all of Enya's albums, except for the last one and the various compilations.

Do the songs have better quality than those released years ago ?

The album has 2009 remastered versions and they sound better than those released years ago.

What badly needs remastering is A Day Without Rain: not a very good album, but absolutely horrid sound.

Her albums are available on SHM CD.  I will compare Watermark shm cd to the "normal" cd.

Paint The Sky With Stars was a stronger "best of" collection, by far.

SHM CD version of Watermark is indeed better than the regular one.  It has clarity and the sound is more forward and airy.  The regular version sounded  muddy in comparison.  It reminds me of listening from unbalanced to balanced headphones.  However I wonder if the songs have been remastered or enhanced to make them sound better.

That's saying something, Watermark to me sounds better than her other albums, though I have only 3 others.

I remember Watermark was one of the first DDD CDs and it was the worst CD recording I owned at the time I regularly listened to it.

Her best recorded album is probably her latest one "and winter came".

I didnt like ...and winder came" song wise or quality wise. A Day Without Rain would probably be my pick for sound quality, along with maybe Memory of Trees. Watermark sounds ok, but its kinda flat sounding,
