HEllo, I just ordered this dac directly via abrahamsen audio. They accept paypal and iban. HEre is a link to a translated review:

I will be sending it to fellow head-fier darkless who will be able to compare it to his stello da220mk2 with stax headphones both balanced.
I will be able to compare it to an apogee minidac that a fellow dutch head-fier has.

Hello Hawkhead, any impressions for the dac or comparisons with others?
I still have to get a final reply from Thomas stating total price and his paypal address. then it can ship to Denmark.

It's everything I ever wanted in a DAC and beats my CD player (an Arcam FMJ CD23) by some margin

Instead of searching I can now enjoy the music

I have had the following over the last year in descending order of preference

CI Audio VDA-2/VAC1 - very good until I heard the Abrahamsen
Bel Canto DAC2 - OK
Lavry DA10
Valab NOS 2009 - hateful

Hello everyone, I bought this dac a while ago and told them to deliver it to a Danish head-fi friend of mine, darkless. HE has a stello da220mkii and compared it to the abrahamsen.
According to him they are very similar sounding, the only differences being that the stello has a bit blacker background at higher volumes and that the v6 bass reaches deeper.
I cant wait till I have it myself.

WOW! Is it really that good?

My rig will be quite similar to yours: Laptop > M2Tech Hiface > Lavry DA10 > WA6SE maxxed > Headphones (HD650 w/Cardas, RS-1i and the 1 week old ATH-AD2000-loving it-)

I've been wondering what component should I upgrade next for maximum increase in quality & pleasure of listening. I was considering getting a MHDT Havana but I'm still searching.

Are you useing XLR to RCA adapters to run it to the amp?
Does it need reseting of internal jumpers to unbalanced, like the DA10 needs?
Does it have a SPDIF input so it can be used with the Hiface?

Any impressions will be much apreciated as I'm anxiously awayting your comments

Hiface is coax (or BNC) but DAC has 2 coax, 1 Toslink and 1 USB

I'm know another proud owner of a V6 DAC!!!

I would like to confirm a few things with you.

What is the highest resolution admissible via UBS? 48kHz / 24Bit?

What is the highest resolution admissible via SP/DIF (Toslink and/or RCA)? 192kHz / 24Bit?

Wich would be the best way you'd recommend to connect this DAC?

I can connect it via any of it's input.

It seems to me that using a 75Ohm digital coax cable would be the best way to avoid jitter.

By the way does anyone know if the V6 DAC does any kind of re-clocking to avoid jitter? Is is assyncronous?
