I think Grado is a Holiday destination in Italy so it makes sense that less people want to go there in the Winter...

I think the answer is that Grados are luxury products that people generally buy for themselves. During the holidays most people cut back on those things and focus more of their disposable income towards gifts for friends and family.

I wonder if it is because headphones tend to be more of a personal purchase as opposed to a gift. There's some gift-giving here, but anecdotally, it seems like almost all headphone purchases are individual.

Well, I think that most high-end/niche products are not good for gift. People who might be giving a gift to someone who has an interest in headphones are probably not going to give them headphones for several reasons. First, the giver may believe that the recipient has more than enough pairs, and couldn't possibly want another set. The sender might also fear that the recipient will not like the headphones that sender selected for him/her because of the sender's limited knowledge on the subject. In this same line of reasoning, I would never expect my parents/grandparents to buy me a video game or piece of audio equipment.

This post makes little/no sense, and uses a 'x/y' 4 times.

^Bose does well during the holidays.

Could be good news, as it makes them one of the few companies that don't bank on 4rth quarter.

Yup.

Grado is a city on the seaside in northern Italy: in winter it is cold -you cannot take a bath there these days !- and maybe it's climate is not that good in this season, maybe windy or wet, I don't know (while the ligurian 'riviera' is lovely and crowdy in winter too).
but moreover, and maybe what's most, the word 'grado' has different meanings in Italian: it translates 'degree' in every sense and maybe some other words (e.g. colonel, captain, sergeant, general and so on are all 'grado', I don't know the word for it in English).
I can guess that searches for 'grado' on google in Italy are less than 5% related to headphones, more than 95% to all the rest...
I think it's not by chance that Italian and Spanish (though I don't know what 'grado' means in Spanish) are the most frequent languages.
