Google Nexus SQ

I'm an iPhone 3GS owner and I'm considering getting the Nexus. Can anyone out there give a quick review on the Nexus sq? Is it comparable to the iphone? I've heard the actual music player software on the nexus isn't nearly as advanced as the iphone, but is it useable on a daily basis for largish (over 300 files) music libraries?

Also does anyone know what sound chip it uses?

Cheers

I'd actually like an answer for this too. Thinking of selling my 3gs for the nexus one, but I use the iphone as my primary mp3 player as well. I would have to get a seperate player if the sound isn't great.

I managed to spend about 15 mins listening to a friend's Nexus one the other day so can post some very brief observations on its SQ:

Overall the sound was ok sounding, somewhat enjoyable, but one of the first thing I noticed was that it didn't seem to e as neutral as that of my 3GS. Almost as if a part of the spectrum was EQ'd or artificially enhanced in some way.

Soundstage on the Nexus was good, not quite as wide as my 3GS but it wasn't narrow.

The Nexus was able to drive my IEMS fine (IE8) however I noticed the volume had to be turned up higher than on my iPhone. I didn't have an amplifier to try with it so I can't comment on the sound of the phone through an amplifier.
