Which phones to be buried with?

I don't wish to be morbid but I asked myself the question recently.

I was at a young friends funeral. His mother said she will never erase the music on her sons iPod, so 'she' could enjoy it forever.

So my mind clicks and thinks, what if she had a way of making sure the 'body' of her son could have heard it forever too?

Then I get into solar panels and power leads to an ipod in the coffin, then an auto start feature if power ever failed, then blow me, the questions comes, which headphones and portable setup would I 'go down with'? Let alone the tracks (but this is not a dessert island - 240Gb on my iMod should be allowed in this interview!)

You might like to donate all your gear to another, but if you had a slightly selfish side, - - -

What gear would you like to be buried with working 'in situ'?

PS Patents for ever playing, solar powered, coffin proof MP3 players still up for grabs!!

Morbid indeed. Sad thing to see happen to a mother.

But if I must, RS1i.

Crazy, maybe. But no more morbid than making plans on a Will.

People often choose the music at there funeral in advance, the clothes they wish to wear, watch, rings etc.

I'm merely asking which headphones you would request from your current collection.

I personally think that wearing my custom JH13's would be the least selfish option as they would need much work to get them to fit others.

Remember, we find out a lot about pharaohs by what was buried with them. What would you like to be known for?

All of my gear will go to other people... along with every last bit of viable organic tissue/liquid in and/or on my body.

This is specifically requested in my medical directives (not the gear part, but the rest).

Koss, since their products have lifetime warranty.

She will be lucky if the ipod works for a year.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to be buried with anything.. a hollowed out rotting husk isn't going to be doing much hearing.

Anything that keeps the worms out longer. I guess that would be an IEM.

If you're cremated, take as much Skullcandy and Bose as you can fit in the oven.
