I like the colors

so what DAC/opamps this time? still has a remote control, right?

and how is the volume attenuation done exactly? directly through the DAC chip built-in volume control?

This NEW DAC will use PCM1792 and OPA275 OP AMP chips!
Will not offer remote control for this DAC! use Potentiometers to control the volume!

This SMK III looks interesting for sure (especially if opamps are socketed). How much will it cost? Can gain be adjusted (I feel many amps have too much gain for my rather sensitive D2000)?

my 32Ω/104dB cd1k needs a gain of 2, maybe your 25Ω/106dB d2k doesn't even need any gain at all? or a maximum of 2 anyway.

Well it needs amping to improve SQ but little gain (it's loud enough out of a laptop for sure) - which is why the gain adjustable M-Stage is still prominently on my list.

BTW, the Burson has pretty high gain right? So how does that work with your headphones...

great review, no wonder you reviewed the dmk,,, i wish every amp/dac had this input/output/dac selection, but nothing is perfect

gain is better or worse for different phones, especially iem's, you have to test out each level yourself to find your own preference. it is very welcomed on a headamp, i do wish my lisa had gain, that is her only flaw.

and btw, ill let you know how the m stage compares in a few days now.

the right jack has a very low gain, I can go up to noon on the pot
