since I use both DACs, it was interesting to read this (although I'm using the Pico-Amp, not the Pico-DAC only). - for me, the reason to hang on to both is that I value the convenience and quality of the Pico amp/dac with laptops and IEMs, while using the two VDA2-VAC1 set-ups I have with desktop computers and full-size headphones. ever now and then someone suggests that I could trade that all in for a much higher quality single solution, but I like having reasonably high quality options for different situations. - as for the comparisons offered here between Pico and VDA2, I mostly agree with Valens, except perhaps about the bass: for me, the VDA2 bass is not as 'polite' as described in this thread, but ample and accurate.
